IMPORTANT TEAM INSURANCE INFORMATION:
1) IFA has contracted through Wilson Sports Insurance for team insurance coverage at a fantastic $60 rate for 2010. This team insurance is for medical and liability in all amateur softball play through the 18U division, regardless of the sanctioning body. If your IFA insurance is denied by another sanctioning body, it is because of their preference, not because of your policy coverage.
2) All IFA sanctioned tournaments will recognize team insurance coverage from any sanctioning body with additionally insured certificates. IFA "does not" require our registered teams to purchase IFA team insurance, as it is optional. It is our philosophy that team insurance should never be used as a political tool.
3) As of February 11, 2010, Wilson Sports Insurance was contracted to provide liability coverage "ONLY" for any team participating in an IFA sanctioned tournament, whose sanctioning body pulls that portion of their coverage from their team insurance policy.
